Mr Jonathan Noël, MBBS (UWI) FRCS (Urol)

Robotic Urological Surgeon | Medical Director, Global Robotic Prostate

Mr. Jonathan Noël is a double robotic surgical fellowship-trained urologist specializing in robotic-assisted procedures for prostate cancer.

Born in the UK, he pursued his medical education in the Caribbean and comes from a distinguished lineage of surgeons—his father and grandfather having practiced in Grenada. Upon returning to the UK to specialize in urology, he refined his expertise in prostatectomy techniques, including the anterior Retzius-sparing approach at the Royal Marsden and NeuroSAFE (neurovascular structure adjacent frozen section examination) at Lister Hospital, a technique designed to enhance nerve preservation during surgery.

To further advance his skills, Mr. Noël was selected for a highly competitive fellowship in Florida, USA, where he trained under Professor Vipul Patel, a globally recognized leader in robotic prostate surgery. This mentorship, combined with training from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, has shaped his expertise in managing complex prostate cancer cases. Having worked across three major healthcare systems, he integrates a diverse range of surgical approaches tailored to individual patient needs.

His research focuses on robotic surgery innovations, including augmented reality and artificial intelligence in healthcare. Since joining Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in 2022 as a consultant surgeon, he has performed over 100 robotic procedures in his first year, significantly exceeding the UK median of 46 procedures per year, as reported by the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS). He also plays a key role in prostate cancer diagnosis at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, contributing to the South East London Cancer Network.

Beyond his NHS work, Mr. Noël is the Medical Director of Global Robotic Prostate, an independent service launched in 2023 to provide robotic surgical care at leading private hospitals. His mission is to improve patient experience and outcomes through personalized, cutting-edge treatment.
